Who We Are

Welcome to The Savannah Society. We specialise in curating bespoke African journeys that capture the essence of exploration, connection, and discovery.

We design adventures that immerse you in Africa’s heartbeat. Every journey is built with care, blending comfort and authenticity while honoring the people and places that make this continent extraordinary. For us, travel is not just about where you go, it’s about how it makes you feel, the connections you forge, and the memories that last long after you’ve returned home.

safari philosophy

Our Philosophy

At The Savannah Society, we’re a community of explorers bound by a shared love for Southern Africa, our home. With roots that stretch across this remarkable region, we bring together diverse perspectives, experiences, and stories. It’s this richness that shapes the journeys we create. We believe travel should go deeper than what's seen - it should be felt. It’s about feeling the rhythm of a place, the warmth of its people, the wildness of its landscapes, the authenticity of its cultures. Every itinerary we design is crafted to be personal, immersive, and meaningful.

Equally, we recognise our responsibility as custodians of the places we explore. That’s why we champion responsible travel: supporting local communities, protecting wildlife, and ensuring that your footsteps leave a positive impact for generations to come. This balance of adventure, connection, and care is what defines The Savannah Society experience.

safari different

Our Difference

We’re not a traditional travel agency.

We’re not a package tour provider.

We're a collection of explorers, storytellers, and hosts connected by a shared love for Africa.

Every journey is hand built from the ground up, crafted for those who believe travel should leave a legacy, not just a footprint.

Our Team

What brings us together is a shared love for Africa and a belief that travel, done thoughtfully, can change how people see the world - and how they care for it.

Greg Brittian

Co-Founder

Greg grew up in Zimbabwe, where wild landscapes and extraordinary wildlife were simply part of life. That connection to nature has shaped his path ever since, influencing his studies in environmental science and a global career focused on sustainability and responsible business.

The Savannah Society brings Greg’s worlds together - a deep love for Africa and a lifelong commitment to purpose-driven work. He works closely with travellers to design journeys that reflect their values and curiosity, crafting experiences that balance comfort, authenticity, and conservation. For Greg, meaningful travel is about connection to nature, to people, and to something larger than oneself.

Patrick Britz

Co-Founder

Patrick was born and raised on a game reserve in Namibia’s Namib Desert, where his early days were spent exploring vast wilderness, stretching from the desert plains to the Skeleton Coast.

Though his career later took him across Europe and South America, his heart never left Africa, and if anything reinforced his passion for the land and its people. Guided by the lessons of his upbringing and a lifelong passion for conservation, Patrick co-founded The Savannah Society to share the magic of the continent as he knows it - raw, real, and profoundly alive.
